Extensions and suspensions
PhD students who are unable to submit their doctoral thesis within the standard duration of the programme may apply for an unpaid extension of up to twelve months, subject to a documented and justified request evaluated by the Faculty Board. The regulation also defines the conditions and procedures for requesting a temporary suspension of the programme due to justified impediments, including serious illness, maternity or paternity leave, civil service, or teacher training programmes.
